After only 4 months, the Phoenix Suns have fired their head coach Terry Porter.
Porter took over and the team parted ways with successful head coach, Mike D'Antoni. Porter was supposed to make the Suns more defended minded; however, it seems as though he failed at that considering their lackluster performance in the first half of the season.
New coach, Alvin Gentry, worked under D'Antoni and the Suns are hopeful that he can lead the team to their former run n' gun type of play. Porter's firing also heats up trade talks about star forward Amare Stoudamire. Check back for updates with that deal.
